Our space

4 Gray’s Inn Place was previously home to The City Law School, and so has served as a place of learning for some time. We have worked closely with architects to design an exciting educational space that is safe, comfortable and inspiring for children.

Our space

Our classrooms are modern, light-filled spaces and there are specialist teaching areas for PE, science, DT, art, drama and music. The library is at the heart of the school, and there is a large hall space for assemblies and PE.

Pupils have access to the fantastic facilities of both senior schools, such as their swimming pools and theatre spaces. We also make the most of our central London location to take the learning out of the classroom wherever possible.

The children have outside play in an area of the Walks, as the gardens of Gray’s Inn are known, made accessible for their sole use at that time. The Walks are a beautiful green space in the heart of the bustling city, teeming with history and nature. Pupils eat lunch in the beautiful historic Hall at Gray’s Inn, a very short walk from the main school building.

Gray’s Inn Singers have been crowned UK champions at Barnardo’s National Choir Competition as well as winning at The Watford Festival 2026

The Gray’s Inn Singers from City Junior School have also won the Grand Prize for Musical Excellence at the Barnardo’s National Choir Competition. The choir performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday 3 March, having been selected as one of 16 outstanding finalists in the Junior Choir category. Their programme featured a captivating performance of Sakura, a traditional Japanese song arranged by Michael Neaum, followed by Larysa Kuzmenko’s dramatic and evocative Winds, which portrays the gathering intensity of a storm. This achievement is a testament to the children’s hard work, dedication, and passion for singing, and we are incredibly proud of them.…
