Fees

Our fees for the 2026/27 academic year are £9,937 per term (including VAT), with a compulsory termly lunch fee of £365 (VAT exempt).

Optional extras

Individual music lessons: £413.10 per term (including VAT)
Morning Wraparound: £6.50 per day (VAT exempt)
Afternoon Wraparound: £12 per day (including VAT)

 

Admissions fees (including VAT)

7+ registration fee

£192*

 This fee is non-refundable and covers costs including administration and the assessment papers.
*We will waive this registration fee for any UK families in receipt of social benefits (excluding child benefit). To request a fee waiver, please email admissions@cityjuniorschool.org.uk before completing the registration form.

Occasional places registration fee

£300

 This fee is non-refundable and covers costs including staffing, administration and the assessment papers.

Acceptance deposit

£7,400

 Payable on acceptance of a place. £4,800 will be offset against your first term’s fees, £600 is retained as a non-refundable admissions fee, with the remaining £2,000 (VAT exempt) held in the general funds of the school in accordance with the School's Terms and Conditions until your child leaves us. 

The fee is payable once only; when a pupil progresses from City Junior School to City of London School or City of London School for Girls, they do not need to pay the admissions fee again.

Gray’s Inn Singers have been crowned UK champions at Barnardo’s National Choir Competition as well as winning at The Watford Festival 2026

The Gray’s Inn Singers from City Junior School have also won the Grand Prize for Musical Excellence at the Barnardo’s National Choir Competition. The choir performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday 3 March, having been selected as one of 16 outstanding finalists in the Junior Choir category. Their programme featured a captivating performance of Sakura, a traditional Japanese song arranged by Michael Neaum, followed by Larysa Kuzmenko’s dramatic and evocative Winds, which portrays the gathering intensity of a storm. This achievement is a testament to the children’s hard work, dedication, and passion for singing, and we are incredibly proud of them.…
