Occasional places

Places sometimes become available for children to join us outside our standard entry point. These places are rare and are called ‘occasional places’.

Occasional places

Should any places become available during the year, we will hold assessments in March for entry to the school in September. The outcome of our occasional place assessments is given before the end of the spring term.

To register an interest in an occasional place for your child in Year 4, 5 or 6 for September 2027, please complete the form below.

Once you have completed the form, we will be in touch at the end of February to confirm whether any places have become available. We kindly ask that you do not contact the admissions team before this time, as we will not have any further information to share until then.

Boys applying for a 10+ place at City of London School are not eligible to apply for a Year 6 occasional place at City Junior School. Families must choose one route only, as these two options are mutually exclusive.
If you are applying for an occasional place from overseas, please note that all candidates are required to attend assessments in person at City Junior School.
