Art Enrichment Day
All news
We began the term with a whole-school art day, setting a creative tone for the weeks ahead. This year’s Young Art Competition theme, Here and Now, encouraged pupils to reflect on the world around them and capture moments from their everyday lives. Inspired by sketches they created over the holidays and the work of other artists, the children developed thoughtful and creative pieces that highlighted a range of ideas and techniques. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to explore personal perspectives through art, and we were impressed by the originality and care evident in their work. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we also raised over £600 for Great Ormond Street Hospital through entry donations – a wonderful achievement that will make a real difference. Our entries will now be submitted to the national Young Art competition, and we look forward to seeing how they get on!
