Celebrating World Book Day

World Book Day brought great joy to our school community this year. It was a delight to see all the wonderful costumes around the school, but most importantly to witness the children’s enthusiasm for all things reading.

We were also delighted to welcome author Mike Rampton, who delivered truly engaging sessions for all the children. He spoke about the importance of curiosity and encouraged everyone to keep asking questions - a message that clearly resonated with pupils across the school.

Throughout the day, every child had the opportunity to purchase a book or two at our bookshop. A huge thank you goes to Sanchita at the Children’s Bookshop in Muswell Hill for her continued support in making this possible.

We are also delighted with how engaged the children have been with the Readathon. So far we have raised a total of £1,168 which will all go towards providing books for children in hospital. Donations close tonight so please add any final sponsorship - thank you!

The day ended with a whole-school story time, bringing everyone together to share in the joy of a good story. What a wonderful day it was!

World Book Day trip to CLS

On World Book Day, 15 year 6 students went to CLS to take part in their World Book Day celebrations! We listened to a talk by the author Josh Lacey and the illustrator Gary Parsons. They were talking about their new series "time travel twins". It was fascinating to hear them talk about the Great Exhibition and Karl Marx.
