Prize Giving Ceremony

During the Easter break, our CJS chess team competed in the National Schools Girls' Chess Championships Finals organised by ECF (English Chess Federation).

The CJS team played exceptionally well, and finished in second place in the Under 11 section - just one point behind Bancroft School.

Throughout the seven-round tournament, Amelie, Liana and Liya showed great strength and incredible maturity as they competed against many strong chess players. Many congratulations to our CJS chess team, and huge thanks to our school chess coach, Mr D'Costa.
