Pupils took part in an exciting House Cross Country and Football Competition at Grove Park, embracing the challenging conditions and showing fantastic effort, resilience and team spirit throughout the day.

The competition began with the House Cross Country, where pupils tackled demanding courses, with Years 3 and 4 completing a one-mile route and Years 5 and 6 taking on a challenging circuit of just under 2km. The softer ground made for classic cross-country conditions and tested pupils’ determination and perseverance.

Across all four year groups, pupils gave their very best, demonstrating impressive resilience and commitment as they raced to earn valuable points for their houses. There were some particularly close finishes, with pupils pushing themselves right through to the final stretch.

Following the cross country, pupils took to the pitch for the House Football Competition. Matches across both year groups were fiercely contested, with plenty of excellent teamwork, skill and sportsmanship on display. The results remained finely balanced until the final matches, making for an exciting conclusion to the competition.

It was wonderful to see pupils supporting their houses and encouraging one another throughout the day. A huge well done to everyone who took part and represented their houses with such enthusiasm, determination and positive spirit. The overall House Cup results will be announced in Monday’s assembly.
