Inside the academic life of Year 5 this week
It's been a busy week for Year 5 who have explored Shakespeare's work in English, the construction of bridges in DT, push and pull forces in Science, alongside participating in the election process for Pupil Parliament MPs.

Year 5 have enjoyed another busy and varied week; featuring clay, area and perimeter, poetry and the Ancient Greeks!
Year 6 visit Linklaters for a Presentation Skills Workshop
Six Year 6 pupils participated in a workshop at Linklater’s centering on presentation and communication skills.

Over the last two weeks, Year 4 pupils in St Paul's and Gray's Inn houses visited the local Coram's Fields to take part in a Planting Project.
Year 3 & 4 Summer Concert

The Summer Art Exhibition with our Artist in Residence

Summer Term Sports Day
On the 7th June, CJS hosted our annual Sports Day at Grove Park, with both boys and girls delivering outstanding performances across a range of events. A glorious sunny day provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with excitement and sportsmanship.

After weeks of rehearsals, we were excited watch our children perform The Pied Piper children's opera in Gray's Inn Hall.

Gray’s Inn Singers have been crowned UK champions at Barnardo’s National Choir Competition as well as winning at The Watford Festival 2026
Gray’s Inn Singers have been crowned UK champions at Barnardo’s National Choir Competition as well as winning at The Watford Festival 2026
The Gray’s Inn Singers from City Junior School have also won the Grand Prize for Musical Excellence at the Barnardo’s National Choir Competition. The choir performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday 3 March, having been selected as one of 16 outstanding finalists in the Junior Choir category. Their programme featured a captivating performance of Sakura, a traditional Japanese song arranged by Michael Neaum, followed by Larysa Kuzmenko’s dramatic and evocative Winds, which portrays the gathering intensity of a storm. This achievement is a testament to the children’s hard work, dedication, and passion for singing, and we are incredibly proud of them.…
