Royally Inspired Art (16)

On Thursday 4 May, our House and Vice House Captains attended an exhibition at The Guildhall inspired by the upcoming Coronation, and featuring works of art created by CJS pupils and other pupils from the City Family of Schools.

The visit included a tour of the art gallery, light refreshments and a prize ceremony, with prizes awarded by Andrew Marsden, one of two Sheriffs of the City of London.

Astrid, Year 6. said: "As well as looking at the artworks on display in the Guildhall, we ate snacks including finger sandwiches, scones, cupcakes and more! We were delighted to accept prizes on behalf of two CJS pupils, and to see all the other great pieces of artwork on display!"

Congratulations to Ming-Yi, Year 4, who was awarded first place in the KS2 category, and Laya, Year 5 who was awarded the runner up prize in that age category.
