Year 3 conclude their Autumn term of learning

What an amazing end to the term we've had! Our pupils have immersed themselves in a variety of enriching activities, showcasing their dedication and enthusiasm across multiple disciplines.

In English, the children have honed their descriptive writing skills, exploring the use of vivid imagery and figurative language to bring scenes to life. In Mathematics, pupils engaged in complex problem-solving tasks, ultimately encouraging logical reasoning and strategical thinking skills. During Science, we have explored different types of rocks, volcanoes and dove into hands-on experiments.

In Art lessons pupils collaborated on a monumental project inspired by Argentina's Cueve de las Manos. Our young artists created their own handprints murals, connecting with ancient tradition. Last but not least, the children gave stunning performances at the St. Andrew's Church and we couldn't be prouder of them! We have also enjoyed a festive bingo organized by the PFA, which has brought lots of Christmas joy to the kids.

Our highlights from the term:

"In Computer science, I learned how to use Office 365 and send emails, use storyboards to create one ourselves and how pelican crossings work" 

"My favorite subject in CJS is Art, as we were able to draw cave animals and use our hands to be fully immersed!"

"I enjoyed Science because we had some bread and gummy worms included in our science experiment!"

"I enjoyed Geography because we learned about the Stone Age, how they communicated together using sounds and cave paintings, furthermore how the Stone Age changed to the Bronze Age which changed to the Iron Age!"
