Year 3 Team Building Day at Grove Park

Year 3 enjoyed a team building day at Grove Park, to practice team work skills and encourage the year to bond as a whole.
The day started with a Geography field studies task, which involved investigating the Grove Park site for as many different physical and human geographical features as we could find. After that, the children completed a traffic survey by recording the different modes of transport that passed by the gates of Grove Park. The field studies came to an end with some map work and a treasure hunt.
The day also comprised some art activities; the children, using sketchbooks, painted watercolour images of the nature surrounding them. Once back at school, the teachers carefully assembled the paintings to make a larger collaborative artwork. Most of all the children relished a day in the green surroundings of Grove Park, with the freedom to run around and to enjoy each other’s company!

Gray’s Inn Singers have been crowned UK champions at Barnardo’s National Choir Competition as well as winning at The Watford Festival 2026
The Gray’s Inn Singers from City Junior School have also won the Grand Prize for Musical Excellence at the Barnardo’s National Choir Competition. The choir performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday 3 March, having been selected as one of 16 outstanding finalists in the Junior Choir category. Their programme featured a captivating performance of Sakura, a traditional Japanese song arranged by Michael Neaum, followed by Larysa Kuzmenko’s dramatic and evocative Winds, which portrays the gathering intensity of a storm. This achievement is a testament to the children’s hard work, dedication, and passion for singing, and we are incredibly proud of them.…
