Year 5 had a wonderful day on their recent visit to the British Library, immersing themselves in stories, imagination and exploration.

One of the highlights of the day was a captivating storytelling session led by a master storyteller. The children were transported on a magical journey to a mystical Irish island, before being taken on a thrilling and slightly spooky adventure involving a bickering couple and a band of robbers. The vivid descriptions and expressive performance had everyone completely absorbed, sparking pupils’ imaginations and leaving them eager to tell stories of their own.

The excitement continued as we explored the interactive Fairy Tales exhibition. Pupils had great fun engaging with the displays, discovering familiar tales in new ways and reflecting on how stories are told across different cultures and time periods.
