Year 6 Artificial Intelligence computing workshop

On Tuesday 30 November, Year 6 took part in a workshop based on artificial intelligence run by Stand Up Computing.

The children learned about why AI is different from traditional rules-based coding, and conducted experiments with Machine Learning to train computers equipped with cameras to recognise objects around the room.

The workshop also involved a discussion of the ethical issues surrounding AI and gave the children a fantastic opportunity for some hands-on learning with an industry expert.

It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to practice teamwork skills and communication, as they collaboratively worked on ideas.
