Year 6 Production: Wonderland the Musical

Wonderland – The Musical was a wonderful highlight of Year 6's final year at City Junior School. The children had the exciting opportunity to perform at the Museum of London Theatre, showcasing their musical, drama and dance skills to family and friends.

Each Year 6 class performed a different scene, with Ms Allan, Ms Rogers and Mr Westland directing their respective acts. The production featured a shared role of Alice, with nine pupils each bringing their own interpretation to the character.

The performance was accompanied by a live band, with Mr Richmond on piano, Mr Parry on clarinet and saxophone, Ms Staniforth on bassoon and Mr Ball on drums, under the musical direction of Ms White. Her creativity and attention to detail brought the music, choreography and performance together beautifully.

The imaginative sets, costumes and props helped transform the theatre into Wonderland. Thank you to Ms Slack, Ms Ahmed, Ms Finch, Mrs Kennard and Mrs Fotopoulos for their wonderful work creating the scenery and props, and to Andy for expertly managing the lighting and sound throughout the performance.

With favourite songs including Falling, Am I Still in Wonderland?, Mad Hatter's Tea Party and Dinner Party, the production was full of energy, humour and fantastic musical moments.

Wonderland – The Musical was a fitting and memorable way to celebrate the children's final year at CJS, showcasing their confidence, creativity and teamwork.
