Year 6 take a trip to Bletchley Park

Last week, Year 6 pupils embarked on an adventure to Bletchley Park, once the top-secret home of the World War II codebreakers.  

The adventure began with a tour of the beautiful grounds, where students imagined what daily life might have been like during wartime. Next on the agenda was a Codes and Ciphers workshop, where pupils delved into the art of cryptography, learning to crack codes and unlock encryptions. 

A highlight was stepping into the very buildings where the Enigma code was cracked – a pivotal moment in history. Walking through these spaces, pupils gained a profound appreciation for the brilliant minds who made groundbreaking contributions to the war effort. 

The trip to Bletchley Park  brought history to life and sparked curiosity and creativity in our Year 6 pupils. A big thank you to everyone who made this enriching experience possible!
