Year 6 Visit to the Garden Classroom
All news
Year 6 had a fantastic time at the Garden Classroom this week, taking part in an exciting orienteering challenge. Working collaboratively in teams, pupils used maps, clues and their navigation skills to locate checkpoints around the site. The activity encouraged problem-solving, teamwork and resilience, with children demonstrating excellent communication and determination throughout. It was wonderful to see them enjoying the outdoors, supporting one another and developing confidence in an unfamiliar environment.
"It was a very fun way to learn orienteering and use the skills, for example: using a compass."
"The orienteering and the learning in the classroom was amazing! We learned using a compass and we rediscovered our map skills."
